In April 2024, I had the opportunity to work as the photographer and videographer for KATUM, a three-person band from Vienna consisting of Tom, Laurenz, and Christoph. Known for their immersive LED percussion performances, KATUM’s unique style combines LED visuals with rhythmic percussion drum shows. We rented a studio for one day and successfully recorded two songs, each set in distinct visual environments. The sets included a blank white stage that highlighted the band’s dynamic movements and a pitch-black stage where the LEDs created a striking visual contrast. I was involved in various aspects of this production, from conceptualizing the visual themes and setting up the lighting in the studio to directing the shoot and editing the final videos. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in managing the full spectrum of production tasks within a limited timeframe.
